How did we get into Wi-Fi?
Internet access is one of the services we wanted for some of our apartment properties, but the bids we got from commercial Wi-Fi vendors were much more than we were willing to pay. So we researched, experimented and tested a lot of different hardware and software, until we found some products that were cost effective but easy to deploy. After some configuration we could ship them out to the property and our property managers could install them with no special training needed.
Many online vendors sell plug and play hardware. What's different about Denbar's solutions?
All the plug and play products we found required you to sign up for a service where you pay a monthly or annual fee to the vendor who provides authentication services, tech support etc. That is fine for some businesses, but for many others, like ours, need just a simple set up that will run with very little user intervention.
Do you manufacture your own hardware?
No. We integrate various hardware components from established manufacturer's, configure it for your needs and then ship it out.
Single Point Solution
Simple way for offering Wi-Fi that covers a small area like a coffee shop, restaurant or small building. Plug the device into your router or switch and you are up and running. It is very similar to how a home access point works, with these differences -
- More than 5 times more powerful than any consumer product.
- Can be used Indoors and Outdoors (Waterproof).
- Just one wire going to the box (network cable).

- Name you want for your network. This is typically the business name or your name. This is the name that users will see when their computers search for wireless networks.
- IP address of your router (sometimes called gateway).
- Is your router a DHCP server? Yes or No.
This solution is not a captive portal, in that it does not have a welcome page that users see before they browse the web. This is just an inexpensive way to provide a robust, commercial class Wi-fi solution that your customers can access with ease.

Multi Point (Wide Area Coverage)
If the area you need to cover is more than where a single WiFi access point can reach, just add one or more repeaters to cover whatever area you need. We configure our repeaters before shipping, so all you need to do is plug in as many as you need. The repeaters just need to be near a power outlet and is not physically connected to your router or primary access point.
